A Seoul court on Wednesday denied a divorce application filed by former FC Seoul football player Cha Du-ri (36).
Cha, the eldest son of football legend Cha Bum-kun, claims he was treated unfairly by his wife, making it impossible for him to continue his marriage.
But the court found no concrete evidence supporting Cha's claims and said his marriage to his 37-year-old wife is not irreparably damaged.
Cha also sought custody of his two children.
Cha married in December 2008, but applied for divorce in March of 2013. The couple have been unable to agree a divorce settlement, which sent the case to court.
Cha's father-in-law owns a luxury hotel.
