Hyundai and Kia will showcase their premium models at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit which starts its 14-day run next week.
The annual auto show will feature some 700 vehicles including 40 new models from more than 40 global automakers.
Since the global financial crisis in 2008, international motor shows have largely focused on eco-friendly cars and small- to medium-sized vehicles. But this year the focus will be on luxury and high performance cars.

Hyundai will unveil the new Genesis G90 sedan known as the EQ900 here at a separate booth dedicated to it. Kia will unveil a large SUV concept codenamed KCD-II.
American automakers are also coming up with high-end models. Ford will showcase the cheaper version of its luxury sedan Continental, while GM will present Cadillac's new full-size luxury sedan.
High performance sports cars such as the BMW M2 Coupe and the Porsche 911 Turbo S are expected to steal the show.
