N.Korea Sentences Missionary to Life of Hard Labor

      North Korea's Supreme Court on Wednesday sentenced Canadian-Korean pastor Lim Hyeon-soo to life in prison with hard labor for "crimes against the state," AP reported.

      The charge usually means proselytizing.

      Lim was arrested 11 months ago after entering Pyongyang ostensibly to offer humanitarian help to nurseries and and orphanages.

      Lim emigrated from South Korea to Canada in 1986 and has visited North Korea several times since 1997.
