Amore Pacific Chief Named Asian Businessman of the Year

Forbes magazine has chosen Amore Pacific chairman Suh Kyung-bae as Asia's 2015 Businessman of the Year.

In the cover story, the magazine said, "The group's sales in China last year, which reached nearly US$450 million, more than tripled in only four years."

Amore Pacific saw sales in Asia excluding Korea and China surge 152 percent last year.

"We always pursue Asian beauty, which is a new beauty paradigm," Suh told Forbes. "What we aspire to is to have Asian beauty ideas reflected in the modern rituals. It is about bringing to people something different."

Forbes this year also ranked Amore Pacific 28th out of 100 innovative global companies.
