Hyundai received over 4,342 pre-orders for its premium Genesis sedan on Monday.
Equipped with the latest technologies, the EQ900 has a robust chassis measuring some 5,205 mm, the longest among passenger sedans by Korean automakers, except for limousines.
"Given the early response to the EQ900 despite its high price tag of around W100 million, we expect strong sales," a Hyundai spokesman said.
The sedan will hit showrooms here early next month.
