'Veteran' Wins Award at Sitges Fest in Spain

      The crime flick "Veteran" won the Casa Asia Award at the Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival.

      One of the world's three major festivals of fantastic cinema, the Sitges festival features action, horror and fantasy films.

      "Veteran" was invited to screen at the official competition section of the film fest that took place in Sitges, Spain for 10 days until Sunday, and won the best Asian film award.

      This is the second time director Ryoo Seung-wan won the honor after "The Unjust" in 2011.

      Released here in August, "Veteran" attracted 13.4 million viewers and was invited to Sitges and the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
