North Korea is proceeding with preparations for reunions of families separated by the Korean War, despite a recent threat to cancel them after President Park Geun-hye's speech at the UN General Assembly.
The two Koreas earlier agreed to exchange the final lists of participants on Thursday. A Unification Ministry official on Sunday said, "The agreement on family reunions is being implemented as scheduled."
The reunions will take place at a dedicated center at Mt. Kumgang on Oct. 20-26.
Still, in September 2013 the North canceled reunions just two days before they were to take place, so nothing is certain.
