The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs has been sharing breakfast recipes by e-mail since March to promote healthy eating and rice consumption.
Some 62,300 people have signed up for the meal ideas, which are simple and nutritious and feature rice.
The recipes are available to view at http://www.rice-museum.com. Those who are interested can sign up at the site for e-mails that go out every weekday at 2 p.m.
"Breakfast provides energy for the brain and boosts concentration," said Jeon Han-young, an official at the ministry. "It also helps prevent obesity. We expect that the service will help parents spend less time preparing meals while boosting rice consumption."
