Lim Soo-jung Induced by Script She Inspired

Actress Lim Soo-jung is tempting moviegoers with her latest film "Perfect Proposal," which was released early this month. The film is based on the French novel "Woman of Straw" by Catherine Arley.

In the crime thriller, Lim plays a woman who risks her life to escape from mounting debts in a scam to marry a casino chairman in order to collect his inheritance.

"The most 'prefect proposal' I have ever received was a script inspired by me," Lim said. The film's director Yoon Jae-gu adapted the script with Lim in mind. "His sincere approach melted my heart."

"I was attracted to the film as a whole, not just simply because Yoon wrote the script with me in mind, but I was also a bit afraid that I couldn't portray the character's overwhelmingly complex emotions," Lim said.

"The script also did not have detailed instructions, but it stimulated my imagination and challenged me."
