Samsung chairman Lee Kun-hee remains at Samsung Medical Center in southern Seoul despite an outbreak of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome at that hospital.
Out of the nation's 87 confirmed patients of the viral disease, 34 have been infected there.
The Samsung Group said Sunday it has not considered moving Lee to another hospital or home and believes Samsung Medical Center to be the safest place for Lee.
The chairman has been in a coma since a heart attack last year.
Samsung Medical Center president Song Jae-hoon told reporters Sunday that the MERS outbreak has been limited to the emergency room, while surgery and other procedures are being conducted as usual.
Samsung decided to keep him there because moving him could trigger even more bad publicity for the commercial hospital.
