Chung Mong-joon may run for Sepp Blatter's vacated position of FIFA president.
Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, the former lawmaker and Hyundai business tycoon said he would carefully consider the position after gathering opinions of international football leaders.
Chung served as FIFA's vice president for 17 years, and helped bring the World Cup to Korea for the first time in 2002.
