Total cinema attendance for "Mad Max: Fury Road" hit more than 3 million about three weeks after its release on May 14.
The Korean Film Council said that the total ticket sales for the film reached 3.02 million on Monday.
It is the fourth film in the "Mad Max" series, which dates back to 1979. George Miller, who directed the first three installments, is at the helm again for this film.
Tom Hardy takes over from Mel Gibson as the title character. The film also stars Charlize Theron, Nicholas Hoult and Hugh Keays-Byrne.
