Most jobseekers say they would work overseas if necessary, amid cutthroat competition in the job market.
In a survey of 567 jobseekers by the Human Resources Development Service of Korea on Thursday, 86 percent replied they would work overseas if given the opportunity.
Over 60 percent of respondents thought working overseas would help them acquire expertise and enhance their capacity, while 30 percent wanted to land a job overseas because they do not see any opportunity here or for better pay.
In actuality, only a mere 31 percent are looking for jobs overseas, and 29 percent are acquiring the skills necessary to work abroad.
