U.S. Ambassador Mark Lippert has thanked well-wishers after he was injured in a slasher attack on March 5.
"Thanks for all of the friendship & support! Means so much to the Lippert family! Back to work later next week!" he tweeted on Friday.
Along with this tweet, Lippert posted two photos with his wife, son and dog with bunches and pots of flowers sent by Korean well-wishers.

His living room is filled with flowers, and the walls are full of messages from Koreans.
Lippert and his family were surprised to see such warm support from Korean people, a U.S. Embassy official said Sunday.
Since he left hospital on March 10, Lippert made first public appearance at a dinner for U.S. soldiers at a hotel in downtown Seoul on Friday. On Saturday he went for a walk with his dog near Cheong Wa Dae under the protection of a police security detail.
