Koreans spend well over 3.5 hours a day using their smartphones, and that's excluding time spent talking on the phone.
KT Economics and Management Research Laboratory says people in their 20s use their smartphones the most, especially during rush hour commutes and lunch breaks.
Most of the time is spent on social networking applications like Facebook and Twitter, or on mobile shopping sites.
A previous study in 2012 said Koreans spent about 1.5 hours a day peering into their phones.
