Amore Pacific Chief Slips onto Global Rich List

Amore Pacific chairman Suh Kyung-bae has scraped onto a list of world's 200 richest people released by Bloomberg on Friday.

Suh was ranked 200th with assets of US$6.6 billion (US$1=W1,029) thanks to a 200-300 percent growth in value of his shares in Amore Pacific and Amore Pacific Group compared to January.

Ailing Samsung Group chairman Lee Kun-hee was the only Korean on the list in 95th place with assets worth W13.2 trillion.

As usual, Microsoft founder Bill Gates and Mexican telecom tycoon Carlos Slim topped the list.
