The BBC Proms is one of the world's greatest classical music festivals, founded in 1895. Since then, the annual event has showcased the most prestigious orchestras and musicians. The Proms concerts are held every evening from July to September.

"The Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra makes its debut here at the Proms this summer as the first Korean orchestra to take part in the event's 120-year history," said maestro Chung Myung-whun, who's led the orchestra since 2005.

With its performance in London on Saturday, the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra wrapped up its European tour, spanning four music festivals, including the Grafenegg in Austria and the Merano in Italy.
