Samsung chairman Lee Kun-hee, who went into a coma after a stroke four months ago, is showing gradual signs of recovery, according to his physicians on Wednesday.
Samsung spokesman Lee Jun told reporters the chairman's condition has "improved in many ways." He added, "Doctors at Samsung Medical Center believe there will be further recovery in the future."
But the spokesman declined to give further details.
The Samsung chief marks 100 days in hospital on Sunday and he is reportedly able to nod and reacts when people talk to him but cannot speak.
Doctors said in early June that his eyes remain open for eight to nine hours a day and that he can move his hands and feet.
