The New York Yankees have signed a high schooler named Park Hoy-jun.
The deal, worth US$1.16 million, will have Park start out on the Single A minor league team.
The 18-year-old, a 5-tool player, has been repeatedly approached by the outfit that hopes he will replace a void left by the approaching retirement of Derek Jeter.
