North Korea has threatened to "ruthlessly punish" anyone involved with a planned UN field office in Seoul that will document Pyongyang’s human rights abuses.
North Korea's Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland said the office is a "hideous, politically motivated provocation" and a plot by Washington and Seoul.
After releasing a report detailing Pyongyang's human rights abuses in February, the UN announced last month that it will set up a field office in Seoul later this year to monitor the situation in the North.
