Sneaker Sales Spike in Spring Among Office Workers

      April 11, 2014 10:15

It is becoming more common to see office workers wearing suits and ties, or skirts and jackets, as well as sneakers at lunchtime as they take advantage of the spring weather to work out at parks or walking paths near their offices.

This has led to a spike in sales of sneakers, while the general trend in business fashion is changing in favor of more comfortable, practical apparel and footwear.

An industry source said that the market for sneakers has been growing by 20 to 30 percent each year and will be worth W1.5 trillion this year (US$1=W1,038).
