North Korea has been voted the country Americans dislike most, dethroning Iran by just one percent.
In a Gallup poll of 1,023 American adults, only 11 percent of respondents said they have favorable opinion on North Korea. Gallup has been carrying out polls on Americans' opinion of some 20 countries that make headlines in international news each year since 2000.
This is the first time in 11 years that North Korea was the least popular since it scored a paltry eight percent approval in 2003.
Gallup attributed the result to North Korea's third nuclear test in early last year and the brutal execution of leader Kim Jong-un's uncle Jang Song-taek.
