President Park Geun-hye and her French counterpart François Hollande met at the Élysée Palace in Paris on Monday and agreed to bolster bilateral cooperation in environmentally friendly cars, health and pharmaceuticals.
The two sides will work together in producing battery-powered cars, aircraft, agricultural products, IT, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, robotics and smart grids.

A Cheong Wa Dae official said France's Renault, which is Europe's No. 1 manufacturer of electric-powered vehicles, and Korea's LG Chem, which accounts for 35 percent of the global battery market, are expected to sign a cooperation deal soon.
Hyundai is currently developing hydrogen-powered vehicles with France's Air Liquide.
Park also delivered a 20-minute keynote speech in French at a meeting with around 280 Korean and French business leaders. She received a standing ovation.
