Midfielder Ki Sung-yueng's last-gasp move from Swansea City to Sunderland in the English Premier League on a one-year loan has been named by Sky Sports as one of the best transfer deals of the season. The transfer window closed on Monday.
However, two other deals stole the headlines: Mesut Ozil's move from Real Madrid to Arsenal -- for which the Gunner's paid the biggest transfer fee in their history -- and Marouane Fellaini's move from Everton to Manchester United.
"The loan signing of [Ki] from Swansea looks a safer bet for Sunderland than the aforementioned Borini," Sky Sports reported, referring to Italian striker Fabio Borino, whom Sunderland loaned from Liverpool this year.
Ki "enjoyed the best pass completion rate of any Premier League player [last season, of 92.7 percent] -- more Leon Britton than Leon Britton, it seems," Sky Sports added, drawing a comparison with the British midfielder who was Ki's former clubmate at Swansea.
