Samsung Group said Monday it will hire 5,500 university graduates in the second half of this year. The conglomerate is hiring altogether 9,000 new workers in 2013 and already employed 3,500 in the first half.
The conglomerate said the recruitment drive aims to help alleviate tough job market conditions in the country. It hired 9,000 workers last year.
Samsung will pick five percent of the new hires from university graduates from the poorest segment of society and more than 35 percent from universities outside Seoul.
