Galaxy S4 Picked as Top Smartphone by U.S. Magazine

Samsung Electronics' Galaxy S4 has been selected as the best smartphone in the United States, according to Consumer Reports. The U.S. magazine reported on Sunday that the handset received top scores in terms of ease of use, battery life, messaging and four other categories.

It also gave Samsung's latest tablet, the Galaxy Note 8.0, the highest score of 84 among all rivals, including Apple's iPad mini.

The Galaxy S4 was released in late April in Britain, France, Germany, the U.S. and 56 other countries.
