Presidential fashion-watchers had a field day on Tuesday, when President Park Geun-hye met her U.S, counterpart Barack Obama.
Dressed and accessorized from head to toe in blue, Park somehow managed to look both conservative and fully attuned to Obama's Democrat Party, which has a traditional stronghold on the color that sometimes baffles observers abroad.
Obama wore a matching necktie.
Fashion-watchers claimed Park wore the color to symbolize trust.

In the arcane field of chromatics, a soothing blue supposedly suggests trust, stability, success and professionalism, and it is therefore the color of choice for the corporate logos of Samsung, BMW and any number of banks.
In her book "Psychology of Color," the German author Eva Heller claims blue can help win over the affection of audiences.
"President Park likes to match the color of her clothes to the occasion," a helpful but anonymous government official said. "So she probably chose blue because it's her first summit with Obama to talk about trust and the alliance."
