FSS Launches Investigation of Major Banks' Cyber Security

The government has launched an investigation into the recent cyber attacks at two of the nation's largest banks, Nonghyup and Shinhan, after their networks were crippled by last week's hacking attack.

The Financial Supervisory Service launched the two-week probe on Wednesday. It aims to evaluate the effectiveness of their network defense and security programs.

The FSS will then draw up comprehensive measures to address the cyber security threats.
