North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's aunt, believed to be a key figure behind the throne, resurfaced on Sunday after disappearing from the radar for more than a month amid speculation that she is gravely ill.
North Korea's state-run media reported that Kim Kyong-hui (66) attended the 15th anniversary of late leader Kim Jong-il's election as head of the Workers Party.
Kim and her husband, eminence grise Jang Song-taek, are the main patrons of the young leader. She was last spotted at a concert on Sept. 1 and had not been seen since. Rumors that she is ill surfaced after Kim failed to attend a top party meeting on Sept. 25.
