Former comfort women who were drafted as sex slaves for the Japanese Army in World War II are considering legal action against a Japanese man who vandalized a statue in Seoul commemorating their plight.
House of Sharing, a home for the former Korean comfort women, said Wednesday they are planning to take legal action against Nobuyuki Suzuki, who described the monument near the Japanese embassy in Seoul and placed a sign on it claiming Korea's Dokdo is Japanese territory.
