Fashion and beauty products are the hottest-selling items on domestic home shopping channels these days as consumers buy new clothes and cosmetics to perk up their appearances during the spring season.

According to industry sources on Thursday, operators such as GS Shop, CJ O Shopping, Hyundai Home Shopping and Lotte Home Shopping have been seeing booming sales in this area recently.

"A lot of new fashion and beauty products are usually unveiled in March and April, so consumer demand is highest during this period," said an employee at GS Shop. "We are also throwing raffles and several events to draw more shoppers during this slow economy, which is one of the reasons for the increase in sales."
