Korea's second Formula One Grand Prix will be held for three days this weekend, starting with practice runs on Friday in Yeongam, South Jeolla Province.
Germany's Sebastian Vettel (30), who has already locked up the championship this season, will compete against Germany's Michael Schumacher (42), Spain's Fernando Alonso (30) -- the defending champion on the Korean circuit -- and Britain's Lewis Hamilton (26), all of whom arrived in Yeongam on Wednesday to prepare for the race.
Some 24 F1 cars worth a total of W10 billion (US$1=W1,158) are waiting for the go sign at the Korea International Circuit for Sunday's 55-lap race.
The cars will tear off along the 5.615-km circuit at intervals of 3 m after winning their starting positions based on their fastest times in Saturday's preliminaries.
