U.S. veteran Steve House, the first person to draw attention to the dumping of the toxic defoliant Agent Orange at a U.S. military base Korea, is coming to Korea.
House served as a heavy machinery operator at Camp Carroll in Chilgok, North Gyeongsang Province in the late 1970s.
According to an association of civic groups formed to push for a thorough investigation of environmental crime by the U.S. Forces in Korea, House is scheduled to arrive in Korea on Sunday and visit the National Assembly and Camp Carroll.
A spokesman said House arrives Sunday afternoon with Phil Steward, a former USFK officer who also divulged that the U.S. military illegally discharged Agent Orange into the Imjin River.
