A set of Korean royal documents looted by French troops in the 19th century is on track to be returned in May of next year.
A Foreign Ministry official here said on Monday that discussions to finalize the return of the texts are ongoing and they should be home next spring.
An official at the National Library of France where the documents are housed said librarians are making digital records of them, which will be completed by February, and once transportation methods are agreed upon the texts will be sent back.
France initially agreed to return the documents in 1993.
