Chinese media reported on Monday that two earthquakes with magnitudes of roughly 3.7 and 3.2 struck China's Antu county in the Yanbian Korean Autonomous Prefecture on Saturday.

The quakes were felt the strongest in areas some 20 to 30 km away from Mt. Baekdu, which sits on the border between North Korea and China. Officials said there were no casualties, but some damage to residential houses.

According to the China Meteorological Administration there have been roughly 3,000 minor earthquakes in the area around Mt. Baekdu since 1999, and their frequency continues to increase.
