A government official in Seoul says the U.S. has debriefed the South Korean Embassy in Washington on former U.S. president Bill Clinton's recent visit to Pyongyang. The official says the Embassy was informed by phone that Clinton raised the case of South Koreans currently detained in North Korea during his visit.
Clinton also reportedly clarified that there was no message delivered to North Korean leader Kim Jong-il from President Barack Obama nor was there discussion on nuclear dismantlement. Washington is slated to give an official briefing to Seoul with more information on what was exchanged between Clinton and the North Korean leader early this week.
