10th Seoul International Financial Forum Kicks Off
"New market directions after the global financial crisis." This is what economists from around the world have gathered to discuss at the 10th Seoul International Financial Forum on Wednesday and Thursday hosted by The Financial News daily.

Experts are taking part in the event to suggest practical and effective ways to overcome the ongoing global financial turmoil. The first day of the forum focused on an overview of the challenges facing the world's economies.

On Thursday, experts will talk about their perspectives on the post-crisis international financial order. Professor Yukiko Fukagawa of Waseda University, one of the featured speakers, says she has been watching the Korean economy for over 25 years and suggests that Korea and Japan cooperate to better deal with the changing economic situation.

A separate session on China will also be held on the second day as global interest in one of the world's most rapidly developing economies continues to rise.
