Foreign Minister Yu Myung-hwan is set to meet with his Japanese counterpart Hirofumi Nakasone in Tokyo on Thursday evening to discuss recent developments surrounding North Korea's rocket launch. The top diplomats are expected to discuss Pyongyang's boycott of the six-party talks and ways to get the multilateral dialogue back on track.
A South Korean official said Yu is to attend international meetings in Tokyo on Pakistan's political and economic stabilization and is taking the opportunity to discuss the latest developments with Nakasone. Yu is also expected to pay a visit to Japanese Prime Minister Taro Aso on Friday.
