The dream tour of professional golfers in the U.S. PGA Tour will start on Thursday night Korean time in the Augusta National Golf Club and features the world's top 96 golfers.

The focus of the Masters is on the battle between Tiger Woods and perennial runner-up Phil Mickelson. Woods has won four Masters in his career and Mickelson two. Padraig Harrington, who is eyeing winning three majors in a row, and Anthony Kim, who is touted as the next generation superstar, are also seen as contenders.

There are three teenagers in this year's Masters: Korean-New Zealander Danny Lee, Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland, and Ryo Ishikawa of Japan. Korea's best golfer Choi Kyung-ju is trying to break his personal best of a third-place finish in 2004. "I am very confident about the Masters as it does not have rough and the putting line is straightforward," Choi said. Another Korean, Yang Yong-eun, who won his first PGA event this season, is making a comeback to the Masters after a year's break.
