LG Electronics announced on Sunday that its single 32-inch LCD TV model launched in April last year sold over a million, a record for a single model for the company since entering the LCD TV market in 1999. This model is sold only in 26 European countries, including France, Germany, Italy and Spain.
An official at LG said, ¡°Since its launch, this model has sold 100,000 per month. The key was to design a luxurious model specially to meet the refined tastes of European customers.¡±
LG has seen its all LCD TV sales this year increasing 50 percent from a year ago, even amid global economic recession.
