Shim Hyung-rae featured in the poster of his new film "The Last Godfather"
Shim Hyung-rae, the comedian-turned-film-director of popular film "The War," said his latest movie "Last Godfather" will be released at year's end, in a video clip he posted online.
"The Last Godfather" is a comic action movie made with a production cost of W20 billion (us$1=W1,534), and Shim will direct as well as star as Young-gu, the secret son of a mafia boss.
For this movie, Shim decided to restore Marlon Brando, star of the Godfather Series, using computer graphics.
Most of the shooting will take place in Hollywood, and Shim hopes to distribute the film directly to the U.S. market.
