U.S. Beef Exports to Korea Down Since October
Exports of U.S. beef to Korea, which were strong until early October, are gradually declining.

The Wall Street Journal says the global financial turmoil is slowing down the world's beef market and the number of shipments to leading markets for U.S. beef, such as Russia, Korea, Mexico and Canada, have declined in recent months.

The amount of American beef that entered the Korean market dropped from close to 17,000 tons in October to 11,000 in November and was a little over 3,000 as of Dec. 15.
