Prime Minister Han Seung-soo arrived in Kuwait Sunday following a UN development financing conference in Doha, Qatar.

In Kuwait, he met with the king and prime minister to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation in energy, shipbuilding and defense.

Han is also scheduled to visit a plant run by energy giant SK as well as to meet up with Korean peacekeeping troops deployed there.

He is touring the region in an effort to secure more energy and is scheduled to return home on Wednesday following a visit to Turkey.
