For the first time in 19 years, Korea's national football team pulled off a victory against Saudi Arabia. In a World Cup qualifier match in the Saudi capital Riyadh, Team Korea beat its longtime rival 2 : 0.
The two goals were scored in the second-half of the game by Lee Kuen-ho and Park Chu-young. The last time Korea defeated Saudi Arabia was in 1989 in Singapore. Korea's latest victory places the team at the top of Group B.
