Hyundai Motor will stop making its large Equus sedan next month, the carmaker said Thursday. With that, the car that has been the flagship for Hyundai-Kia for nearly a decade passes into history.
The Equus was launched in the Korea in April 1999. But after Hyundai¡¯s first rear-wheel-drive luxury sedan Genesis was launched in January this year, Equus sales plummeted, and only 374 were sold in September.
