Due to fire, the Kumgang Mountain Tour is being suspended for over three months and has to date incurred losses for Hyundai Asan amounting to more than W40 billion (US$27.6 million).
According to a Friday statement from Hyundai Asan, the suspension, which began at the end of September, has resulted in W40 billion in losses due to cancelled reservations and expenses related to local goods, facilities and employees.
If the suspension continues until the end of the year, the loss is expected to total approximately W80 billion (US$55.2 million). Yet discussions regarding resumption of the tour remain sluggish.
