While visiting Spain's Saragossa Expo, Mr. Ban met with Korean reporters and said the Yeosu Expo will not only be about the people of Yeosu and Korea but global prosperity and advancement as well.

He said the UN would cooperate with Yeosu as the expo's theme of "The Living Ocean and Coast" will help showcase global efforts to fight climate change and environmental problems.

Mr. Ban added that he hopes the expo will draw attention to ideas on water and nature preservation plus new types of alternative and renewable energy.
