10 Koreans Die in Philippines Crash
Ten Korean nationals including a child were killed in the Philippines on Wednesday when their van veered across the central line and crashed into a store in heavy rain. The accident occurred in the town of Bolinao in Pangasinan Province, Luzon Island at around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, killing all 10 Korean travelers and expatriates onboard.

The victims are Park Su-jin (52), a senior pastor at the ˇ°Dreaming Churchˇ± in Gwanak-gu, Seoul, his wife Han Yeon-oh, assistant pastors Park Tae-seong (38) and Gwak Byeong-bae (33) and his wife Choi Mi-Kyeong, Park Seong-don (46), minister of the Dreaming Church in Jinhae, South Gyeongsang Province, and his wife Jeong Jeong-hee (46) and daughter Park Bo-a (5), and two local deacons, one identified as Lee In-cheol.

They had been in the Philippines since Aug. 24 to negotiate building a missionary center and hold services. Baguio city Korean Association president Lee Jung-seong, quoting the local police, said the van crossed the center line and crashed into a small store across the street in pouring rain. The bodies are laid in state in Sampaloc Hospital. Immediately after the accident, local Korean residents reached out to help, and the Korean Embassy in Manila is reportedly investigating how the accident happened.
