U.S., N.Korea Resume Nuclear Talks in New York
The United States and North Korea are attempting to confirm the abandonment of Pyongyang's nuclear weapons program.

The meeting between the U.S.-based North Korea expert Sung Kim and Pyongyang officials took place in New York on Friday.

If the communist state agrees to verification protocols, as was discussed at the last six-party talks, Washington will consider removing the North from its list of terrorists.

Kim, who held talks with Chinese government officials on the matter in Beijing from mid-August, returned to the U.S. earlier this week without having made any significant progress.
