Koreans Cash In On Boom in Credit Card Popularity
The average Korean owns more than three credit cards, according to the Bank of Korea.

The figure, which works out as 3.8 cards per person, is two to three times higher than averages in France and Germany, with a total of 92-million credit cards and 90-million debit cards being used in Korea.

The United States has the most number of cards issued per person followed by Korea and Singapore.

The study also shows while Americans prefer using cash, Koreans generally favor debit cards.
